Aug. 27 ST responded to mile 68 of the Glenn Highway in Sutton for the report of a single vehicle accident involving a blue 1991 Toyota sedan. Investigation revealed Edward Jackson, age 27 of Sutton, was driving under the influence of alcohol and left the roadway crashing into a tree. Jackson initially declined medical attention and he was arrested for DUI. After DUI processing, Jackson was issued a misdemeanor citation for the original charge of Driving Under the Influence with a mandatory court appearance at a later date and released O/R.

Aug. 27 ST responded to a residence on N. Tanana Drive in Wasilla for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Shaunna Reece, age 52 of Wasilla, intentionally damaged private property valued over $600 during the incident. Reece was arrested for the original charge of Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree (DV) and transported to the MSPT facility in Palmer where she was remanded into custody and held without bail.

Aug. 25 AST responded to Kenlar Rd in Houston for a vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that a 2007 BMW X5 had failed to negotiate a curve while traveling above the posted speed limit and departed the roadway. The vehicle sustained extensive damage, and no occupants were located in the vehicle or in the nearby area. Attempts were made to locate and contact the registered owner, but were ultimately unsuccessful. Investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

Aug. 25 AST received a report of an assault at 1370 N Tanana Dr, Wasilla. Investigation yielded that Jamie Brewington, age 47 of Wasilla, placed a household member in fear of imminent physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument and damaged their property. Brewington was placed under arrest for Assault 3 (DV) and Criminal Mischief 4 (DV). He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial with no bail.

Aug. 24 AST initiated a traffic stop near Seldon Rd and Windy Bottom Rd after observing a blue Dodge Neon failing to maintain its lane. Investigation revealed Iosif Usoltseff, age 37 of Wasilla, was driving while under the influence of alcohol with one prior offense. Usoltseff later refused to provide a breath sample at Matsu West trooper post. Usoltseff was remanded to Matsu Pretrial and held on $500 bail for charges of DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical test.

Aug. 24 Alaska State Troopers were requested to conduct a welfare check on a driver passed out behind the steering wheel of his vehicle in a day care parking lot. The complainant was unable to wake the driver. AST responded and was able to wake up the driver, identified as Bradley Pepin 31 years old of Wasilla. At the conclusion of the welfare check, Pepin was found to have an active warrant for his arrest (REF: 3AN-22-04802) Fail to Appear/Original charge Operating Under the Influence. Pepin was remanded to Mat Su Pre-Trial and held on $200 bail.

Aug. 23 AST received a report of a disturbance near Susitna Parkway and Corkey Boulevard in Big Lake. AST contacted Malcolm Mead, age 41 of Big Lake. Investigation revealed Malcolm placed another family member in imminent physical injury. Further investigation revealed Malcolm damaged property to another family member. Malcolm was arrested and transported to Matsu Pre-Trial where he was remanded and held on no bail.

Aug. 23 Alaska State Troopers responded to a burglary in progress near Mile 123 of the Glenn Highway. Investigation revealed Troy Holzheimer, age 44 of Palmer, broke a window to gain access to the residence. Items from the residence were found on his person. Troy was arrested for Burglary in the 1st, Criminal Trespass in the 1st, Criminal Mischief in the 4th, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 5th, and Theft 4th. He was remanded to Palmer Pretrial Facility and held until arraignment. Further investigation revealed Troy possessed additional items stolen from a separate burglary that occurred in Glennallen on 8/21/2022. More charges to follow.

Aug. 22 AST was conducting an extra patrol of Jonesville Mine Public Use Area and observed a black Chevy Suburban traveling SB on Jonesville Mine Rd. After running the vehicle’s plates, it was revealed the registration was expired. During a traffic stop at the Sutton General Store, it was revealed the driver, Kristin Wickberg age 33 of Sutton, glued the Z tab from a different vehicle onto her vehicle. Wickberg was issued a misdemeanor citation for Misuse of Plates.

Aug. 22 Alaska State Troopers responded to Winona St in Wasilla in efforts to locate a John Sample for his outstanding warrant for felony Criminal Mischief out of Anchorage PD. Contact was made with Sample at his residence and he was cooperative as he was arrested and remanded to Matsu Pretrial without further incident.

Aug. 21 AST conducted a traffic stop, near Bogard Rd and Dellwood Dr, on a gray Dodge Grand Caravan for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed Bobby Doisher III, age 51 of Wasilla, was driving on a revoked license with prior DWLR convictions. Doisher was issued a misdemeanor citation for DWLR with an upcoming court date.
